The town of Tisno includes a part located on the Tisnjan peninsula, and a part on the island of Murter. The strait between the island and the mainland, which is only 38 meters wide, is the reason why Tisno got its name. Since 1832 it is connected by a drawbridge. The newer part of the settlement was built on the mainland area of Gomilica. Tisno is located in the immediate vicinity of the larger Dalmatian cities of Šibenik 28 km, Zadar 56 km and Split 100 km, with which it is connected by the Adriatic highway and the A1 highway. A special attraction of Tisno is the movable bridge, which is raised every morning from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and in the afternoon from 5 to 5:30 p.m. The bridge is closed to road traffic, and the strait is open for boats to pass through. The passage of the boats is accompanied by sirens and represents a special spectacle. We are at your disposal if you want to visit this picturesque destination.
